Hi, I’m Loretta — the hands behind Hey Lenny!

My creative journey has been shaped by a deep love of design and the spaces we live in. I studied architecture and interior design at university, which led me into the world of interiors as a junior designer. Over time, I found myself craving a more tactile, hands-on form of creativity — one that allowed me to connect more directly with the materials I worked with.

This shift led me into stylist assisting, where I collaborated on editorial and commercial shoots for some of Australia’s leading brands. It was in this world — surrounded by inspiring makers and artists — that I discovered ceramics. What began as a curious step into a local ceramics class quickly became something much more. I was drawn to the rhythm of the process, the tactility of clay and the quiet satisfaction of creating something purposeful with my hands.

With my design background, I bring a strong sense of form, balance and composition to my ceramics. This foundation allows me to create pieces that are not only functional but visually grounding — thoughtfully designed to complement and elevate the spaces they inhabit.

I believe our homes reflect how we live. When we choose pieces made with care, they bring a sense of ease and intention to our everyday.
